kiwi culture
Red band gumboots originally came from N.Z and originally came up just below the knees but they cut them down a little.
they were released on october the 21st of 1958.
The people that made them got the idea off hessian boots, and were invented by George W Skellerup.
They were worn and popularised by Arthur wellesley 1st duke of wellington.
The wellington red bands became a staple of practical footwear for the British aristocracy. the redbands came practical and popular over the years.h
Red bands are waterproof and strong, they are different because they're made of rubber, the other boots are made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and other plastic stuff., other countries will never beat the Red Bands because they are N.Z icon. Red bands are being sold around heaps of places in N.Z, like at the farming stores, the hammer hardware and the warehouse but you can’t buy them in small towns like moerewa and kawakawa.
I chose these gumboots because there the only gumboots that are different.
